I would walk 500 miles

… and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man who walked 5000 miles just to show up at your doo-oo-oor. I know… cliché song. But that’s just what my brother did. About three months ago he set out from Germany and walked, yes! walked, to Athens.

Now he’s here with me, enjoying the last disappearing rays of summer sun. It’s been awesome, living here with him. Especially when I realize that he literally walked all the way here just to spend some time with me!

He’s staying for awhile and I couldn’t be happier. I miss my family every day (not that I’m regretting leaving The Netherlands, hell no!), and having him close makes everything a bit easier.

These pictures were made in a little park across from the acropolis. I actually prefer this view than being up close and personal with the monument. There’s no tourists here, no noise from the city below, just us and the trees and this magnificent view.

I can’t actually describe where it is. But if you want to go sometimes, I’d be happy to take you!
